"About Me"

"About Me" sections are basically equivalent to those questionaires people post on social networking sites.

And they bug me, because initially they're really fun to fill out, but then you go back and look at them some time later and think: Wow... I was really lame...

Because usually, you fill out those questionaries and "About Me" sections when you're like, thirteen, because you thought you were really cool.

And when you look back, it usually looks like this.

Name: megan <3 :) :)
Hobbies: chilling with my besties <3 :) :)
Favourite Movies: The Proposal, Leap Year, He's Just Not That Into You, Titanic, Wuthering Heights, Twilight
Favourite TV Shows: That 70's Show, Full House, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Hannah Montana
Future Husband: Taylor Lautner <3

[Just for the record, this was an extreme exaggeration and not at all accurate to my personality, but you get the gist]

Because we all can admit that we were totally lame in middle school.

My point is, what's the point? We all know what we like, and our friends know what we like, so why must we post what we like in ridiculous questionaires all over the internet? We're just bored. And, well, honestly... they're ridiculously fun.

But if we never filled these "About Me" sections and questionaires, we would save our future selves a lot of internal humiliation.
